I work where leadership gets personal.

Calm, sharp and without taking over. So you can move forward.

"I do this with lightness. And by staying with what is complex."

Sabine Kloos

I have spent much of my life working in organisations where things are under pressure. As CEO and COO I guided rapid growth, significant restructurings and complex transitions. I know the dynamics of founder-led organisations, of environments with investors and shareholders.

In recent years I worked with organisations at a pivotal and defining moment. A company ready for an exit but not yet there. An organisation that needed to restructure while ownership relations were strained. A company navigating a private equity cycle. Each time the question was different, but the core was the same: create movement where things are stuck, without damaging what already works.

That experience, including personal knowledge of what sustained pressure does to people, forms the foundation of my current work. I know this not only from others. I know it from myself.

I recently completed the ICF-accredited Coach Potential Program at Yinx at Level 2, the level that prepares for PCC certification. That training deepens and strengthens what I have been doing in practice for years: guiding people at the moments that truly matter.

I split my time between Amsterdam and Provence, and travel to southern Africa every year. I share that life with Wim, who cooks for groups and has made hospitality his craft. When I am there, I like to pitch in. Outside of work I am drawn to transformation in the broadest sense: in the kitchen, in language, in image and craft. Making something from nothing.

That is also what I bring to my work: not from a method, but from genuine engagement with the people I meet.

"Not for what you perform or prove. But for what was always already in you."

I always begin
by listening.

Broadly, at all levels, without assumptions about what is happening. Only when I have a clear picture of what is really going on do I name it and guide the movement that is needed.

I work without a fixed position in the system. That means I can move freely, speak with everyone, and remain loyal to the organisation as a whole, not to one party. That gives me the space to say what others do not say, and to do what others cannot do.

In my coaching work the same principle applies: I do not take over, I do not solve. I create the space in which we make visible what you already know. I ask sharp questions, hold up a mirror and remain present even when things become uncomfortable.

Sessions in Amsterdam, the South of France or online. For advisory assignments: wherever the work requires me to be.

Boardroom & transition

As CEO and COO I worked in organisations where tensions at the top were palpable but unspoken. Where a founder had unknowingly outgrown their company. Where an investor and a management team no longer trust each other but both want to press on. I know that dynamic from the inside. Not as theory, but as experience.

That is precisely why I can now stand on the outside. I take no position in the system. I move freely, speak with everyone, and remain loyal to the organisation as a whole, not to one party. I bring clarity to what is really happening and then guide the movement that is needed.

For investors and shareholders guiding their organisation through a next phase. Founders making the transition from entrepreneur to executive. Boards and management teams where collaboration has stalled or roles need to be redefined.

Coaching

For leaders who notice that what once made them strong now creates resistance.

Not every impasse is visible. Sometimes it is a feeling of running empty without anything major having gone wrong. Sometimes it is the realisation that your way of working no longer fits the phase you are in, as a leader, as a person, as part of a system that has also changed. And sometimes, after a difficult period, you simply no longer know how to take yourself seriously.

I work one on one with leaders at CEO and director level. We work on what is really happening; the leadership, the pressure, the dynamics around you. Without detours and without judgement.

CEOs and directors who are stuck or find their leadership style no longer fits. Leaders who want to reorient after a period of high pressure. Professionals who want to move into a board or supervisory role.

Sometimes something is off without you being able to say exactly why. You function, perhaps even well, but something does not feel right. Or you know exactly what you want, but cannot seem to get there. Or you are tired in a way that does not go away with rest.

No fixed method, no step-by-step plan. Just genuine attention, sharp questions and a willingness to look together at what is really happening, even when that is uncomfortable.

People who notice that stress or fatigue is becoming part of their everyday life. Professionals in transition. Anyone who wants to take themselves seriously and work on what truly matters.

"There is space. There is trust. Welcome, with everything you are."

Let's
connect.

I work with people who are willing to look honestly at what is happening, and who want to make the movement that is needed. That takes courage. And trust.

When you write, I will ask one question back. Then we schedule a first conversation of half an hour. No obligations, no agenda. Simply seeing whether it feels right.
